It's been a very long time since last time I watched Fruits Basket - an anime shown in NTV7; weekends. This particular anime has never failed me, not even once. Although the anime-styled drawings isn't alike the manga [comic]-styled, the anime itself captivates the audiences because of the family and self values.
In this work by Takaya Natsuki, Fruits Basket is about her family-alike relationship with the Souma family. As she began to live inside Souma Shigure's house [in which he lives with Yuki and Kyo], she learned about the Souma Curse and get closer with the cursed members of Souma. Oh, by the way, the Souma Curse in general is about the story of 12 [plus 1] Chinese animal zodiac. Why say 12 plus 1 is that cat is included in the zodiac. So, if you want to know more, read related books or GOOGLE it~
Back to the topic! This anime, for me, is amazingly sentimental because the values in the story expands more from the main characters; Tohru, Yuki, and Kyo. Tohru, who just lose her mother at that time, though she didn't notice while stays with three guys in a house, her friendliness and mother-alike behavior made a big change in most of the cursed members of Souma family especially Yuki and Kyo. Yuki, who holds a lot of pain in his heart since little, and Kyo, who has never approved as a true family member of Souma, opens their hearts because of Tohru being caring for both of them. Therefore, they are willing to protect her from Akito erasing her memories. But, as I said before, they are not the only one; all of them also have a change in heart!
In the other word, Fruits Basket is amazingly sentimental because it touches the hearts of people who watched the animation and made them understand about the importance of family and friends.
To end this entry, I would suggest for all to watch Fruits Basket [even if you have watched already, do watch it again!], it will not disappoint you.
