:: Drama Review : Sirius ::
Salam, good day peeps!
I've recently watched one of KBS2TV Drama Special this week. It was entitled 'Sirius'. Before beginning this review, let me tell you guys a bit about 'Sirius' itself.
The term 'Sirius' was originated from Latin word Sīrius which was actually derived from a Greek word Seirios (glowing, scorcer). In the aspect of stars and constellation, it has been well-acknowledged as 'Dog's Star' or 'Orion's dog' and comprised into Sirius A and Sirius B. Both were bright bluish stars and they were very well-known in the relation to certain countries such as Greece and Eygpt. I thank Mr.Google and Wikipedia for my 10-minute reading of 'Sirius'.

'Sirius' unfolds the story of a pair of twins, Eun-chang and Shin-wu, who were separated until the age of 7 when their mother took Shin-wu back home from the orphanage. One fine day in high school, to protect Shin-wu from bullies, Eun-chang decided to attend to school as Shin-wu and their fate changed as Eun-chang unintentionally murdered one of the bullies at the rooftop and being imprisoned for it. Years later, Eun-chang was released from the prison and became an errand boy for delivery service and Shin-wu became Chief Inspector who were investigating on drugs.
Why recommend this drama?
One important thing I want to say about the drama was, the relationship between the twins were pretty shaky in the beginning because of the conflicts. I realized that when watching it, I saw how they felt for each other. Eun-chang wanted to protect his younger twin and even prioritized Shin-wu's safety over his own and yet Shin-wu was never grateful and even blamed him for their mother's death and being allied to the bad guy (whom I didn't remember the name). I find this very interesting since it showed Shin-wu's inferiority towards Eun-chang himself and to the fact that Shin-wu thought that their mother only cared for his older brother. By letting go of his ego, he finally accepted that Eun-chang was his family.
To be honest, I had no idea of why 'Sirius' became the main title for this drama. Thus, what I can say about it was this; Eun-chang and Shin-wu were like two bright stars, close to each other despite their differences in its size and brightness. Well, that's what I think...lah.
Before I end this review, I would like to recommend 'Sirius' on your watching list. Who knows, you will get fascinated by the characters and the story in each one of them? Giggles.
Well, that's all for now. Till then!
