:: Of Me and My Current Life pt.2 ::

Salam, good day peeps!
Long time since my last entry. Without further ado, let's begin.

So, there has been many events happening in my life until now and it still has been. First was my one-month internship at my ex-school in my hometown - well, you would probably know which one since I have been talking about the school here in this blog. After that, post-internship went for a month at the same school in which I liked it since I can see my teachers and pupils and do my works there.

Second was my internship supervision. Unlike for my friends in schools around Kota Kinabalu, I had to undergo a centralized supervision whereby all teacher trainees from all IPGs who went for internship around Tuaran, Tamparuli, Menggatal and Telipok were obligated to attend. Of course, that somehow clashed with the most important event in my life. Care to take a guess? Hint: Cake.

YES, YOU GOT IT RIGHT.

IT WAS ON MY 23rd BIRTHDAY!

So, yeah. I whined a bit about how the events were clashed to that sole date to mum and dad. They just laughed, saying that I have to focus more on my internship file instead and I ended up agreeing to them. Laughs. On that day, I went to IPG Kent where the supervision was being conducted and the most exciting part of it was...that, I met all my ex-schoolmates from primary to secondary and my cousins except for one since he was doing his internship at Peninsular as well as getting to know new friends from other IPGs who were in the same room as me. During the supervision, the lecturer complimented my portfolio and T&L lesson plans so I was in cloud nine that I may have exaggerated myself a bit. So sorry about that guys. However, that wasn't the end of my good mood. That afternoon after the supervision, I went to 1Borneo with my cousin and friends for lunch and movie treat and she treated me lunch since it was my special day. Aww~ thanks a bunch, cuzzy. You're the best!

Third was the SPP interview for all teacher trainees from IPGs. Yep. That dreadful, nerve-wrecking, full of suspense interview that determined whether you're qualified to be posted and teach in schools. I myself found out about it 4 days before D-Day and I admit I was not ready...AT ALL. I read about PPPM and FPK the night before the interview. Sounded like a crazy act, but I did that anyway. Laughs. On D-Day, I arrived quite late for my 7.30 interview but luckily, I was ready...until I saw others reading their SPP guide and short notes. I even got worried when some started to talk about these topics such as HOTS, PPPM, VISION SCHOOLS, CLUSTER SCHOOLS etc.. During the interview session, I was with 4 fellow IPG friends and I was VERY relieved that the topics given out to all of us were more related to teaching profession itself. In other words, other topics were merely mentioned rather than being asked. It was a less stressful SPP interview.

THAT BEING SAID, DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU SHOULD NEGLECT OTHER TOPICS RELATED TO EDUCATION. WHY?

I heard from my cousins and fellow friends, who have their interview after me, that they were asked about those topics and even did micro-teaching in front of their interviewers. So, dear juniors, take note and be prepared!

Okay, so that's all for now. It's a long update and I'm glad that I shared my moments here. Thanks for reading, till then!
